Taking a pause from his faculty duties at Birmingham Southern College was our guest Celebrant, The Rev. Earl Gossett.

Matthew 13:24-30,36-43 was the foundation of his sermon.

In addition to his sermon. Rev. "Earl" revealed that this month he and his wife Lois will be celebrating their fifty second wedding anniversary.

While the choir is on summer break, parish members have filled in during the Offertory with their musical talents. This past Sunday's soloist was Titus Battle who accompanied himself with banjo singing, Just a Closer Walk With Thee. The congregation joined in at the chorus.
